Vic,
Yes, we were discussing this very thing.
My confusion lay in whether the two 'crosses' of the u-joint were to be in
alignment with one another or 45 degrees out of synch.
The consensus is that they need to be in alignment and, in fact, I have 
researched
this further and discover that to be the case.
The two "crosses" of the drive shaft should be in the same position.  That is,  
if
point "A" of the front u-joint is pointing at 12:00 oclock then  point "A" of 
the
rear u-joint should also be pointing at 12:00 oclock.
Clear?
