I can't help you with all of this, put I can with the waist seals...

First, remove the old ones (obviously).  The metal of the old part can be
separated from the rubber with a razor knife.   Do this, then, with a needle
nose pliers, make a 1/2" hook with the metal part just wide enough to hold
the clip.

Roll down the window.  Snake your new metal clip tool, with clip, from the
front where the window will be below the edge of the door, below the top
edge of the door, and work your way to the most rearward clip position
(which will be quite obvious on the waist seal.

Lift the clip onto the metal edge, then push your new waist seal into the
clip, holding the "hook" up against the downward pressure.  Continue the
process with the other 6.

Did this job last weekend, and did the entire job in 20 minutes, including
making the hook
