Matt, thanks for the info.B  We need to get our water tested to see what its
composed of.B  If it is mainly calcium carbonate I'll have to look closer at
the process.
Randall, while I was in Pasadena I found the water to be reasonable,
definitely not hard compared to what we have in Richmond.

Kentucky is mostly limestone.  Lots of caves, lots of very
hard water.
I'll go out on a limb and say that most of the mineral content of our
water is calcium carbonate.
