| Vinegar'll eat the rust out of a heavily rusted tank in 2-4 days. I wouldn't call that very slow. Phosphoric acid is a cola ingredient. That's why this works on rust also. But the concentration is a bit low, so it is slower than vinegar. > If phosphoric acid is too nasty for you, you can use acetic acid (aka > white vinegar) right out of the bottle but it is very slow. Heat > helps. |
