Make sure the tank is cold and then run hot water down the side in your
laundry tub for a couple of minutes. Dry it off and you should get a line
were condensation forms or you can feel a line of temperature change from
warm to cold. The cold point is where the liquid propane is. There are stick
on gauges that work with the same principal that are really cheap.
