the shop where I used to work was plumbed with sch. 40 pvc. small, 1/2",
I think. one day a line went pop. made a loud noise and freaked us out,
but nothing like the catastrophic scene it's played to be--there were two
of us within 10 feet of the line and the only thing injured was ben's
pride when he screamed like a woman. the 'pop' wasn't even that loud; I'm
not even sure wayne quit what he was doing to look up. maybe we were
just lucky. we redid it with more sch. 40, I didn't know then that there
was any option...
oh, the line was attached loosely to the wall and used to rattle when the
compressor came on ond off, so maybe that had something to do with it.
