Sorry, I shouldn't have sent that... bad day at the office.

I'm sure that it hasn't been two years since we last went around
the "sched 40 PVC is a ticking time bomb" and "has worked great
for me" debate ... but maybe it's just that it's been recent
on rec.crafts.metalworking, not here.

The general problems seem to be that the plasticizers evaporate over 
time, the oil affects the solidity of the pipe, and the rating
is for constant pressure, not the pulses that a compressed air
system will see.
