Yep, this is a good cheap, quickie way to do it. One of my factory
auto-repair manuals (Mazda 323) even shows this as a way to set the bearing
preload ---by using a spring scale to pull on the hub until it moves.
BUT - those "fish scales" that you get at Billy-Bob's fishing tackle shop
can't be all that accurate ---- SO - Does anyone have a source of
well-calibrated spring scales?
