A great web site that you might want to visit is
www.autobodystore.com run by Len Stuart out of New Jersey. Although
this is a commercial site and he offers a great deal of stuff for sale,
he also hosts a very active bulletin board, with folks from all over

Len offers a Painting 101 video that many praise, though I haven't
gotten far enough along in my own TD frame-off to yet worry about paint
other than on the chassis.
As a cross-over to the other concurrent thread on paint colors, also
look for original colors on small inconspicuous places/things like the
mounting plate for the door lock (Moss #401-430, #36 in catalog
illustration) mounted before painting in the factory and well before
upholstery and chrome. I found silver streak gray there, although the
rest of the car was cracked, flaking ivory.
Does anyone know of a pic of a silver streak gray TD ??
