A little off track here. In Sept. 1971 I purchased PA 0953. Shortly
afterwards, I went to the local Vehicle Registration Office in Manchester.
They let me view their file on the car. First registered May '34, I kid you
not, the car had a total of five log books.
Each book has space for seven owners. I still have the notes I took that day.

#5 4. That's 30 owners in 37 years, from '34-'71 inclusive.
Sadly, I only copied a few from each, a total of 10 owners. They had no
copying machines then. I think it was the following year that Swansea was set
up and all that historic record went up in flames. The car still has it's
original engine, 1209 AP. The books showed body paint to be red, cream and
also black through the years.
I have no recollection of the layers of colour on the engine, but do you have
a category for
LEMON????
On a lighter note, all the black and white photos I've seen show all the
engines were RED.
