Please don't forget that there are small filter screens on the SU carbs
where the fuel line goes into the float chamber. They provide a 'last
chance' filter to stop 'crud' from getting into your needles. If you have
never changed them, what are you waiting for? They cost less than a buck a
piece at your favorite supplier ( CDM is mine! ). Buy a box of ten and
impress your club at the next outing! Many of the cars I have worked on,
didn't even have them installed any more. Much cheaper than a road side
stop and easy enough for even Clyde! Has anybody heard from him lately?
