On my car, someone, probably BRE, had frabricated a brace that bolted up
to those holes. If I am correct, you are talking about the threaded holes
that have a "lip" around them, and are between the radiator and the front
of the engine, about in line with the fan. My car doesn't have a fan. Race
cars seldom sit in traffic long. It really strengthens the frame there. I
didn't think much until I tried to put it back on while the car was on
jackstands.
