I've tried to control myself but I feel a flame coming on: Approximately
ten weeks ago I ordered a pair of wiper arms from a well known LBC parts
supplier (M**S) for 'old whitesides' (aka, the '63 B). Now that it's
November and raining on a regular basis I decided to give them a call to see
what might be up.
Turns out, they ordered them from their European supplier in DECEMBER
1993!!! They say it is typical for things to be back ordered from their
European supllier for over 300 days. They have *no* idea when the wipers
will be in. Nonetheless, they charged me for them back in late July.
What bothers me about their back-order policy is that they take the order,
and my money (charge card) without even *hinting* to me that it may be eons
before I get my product. This policy has always irked me, but only once in
a while does it really really really irk me (like now).
So, does anyone out there in net.land have a pair of serviceable wiper arms
for a '63B that I could buy with ready money? Keep in mind I said "pair."
This car only takes two (I don't know when the switch over to three took
place). Heck, I'd be happy to have two of any sort of wiper arms (on a
temporary basis) as long as they fit and actually worked reasonably well.
Why wouldn't later wiper arms work? Its the same windsheild. Could it be
worse than not having any at all?
