Count my vote in favor of companies on the net. We can at least
try it out and see what happens. If there gets to be too much
commercialism than we change the rules. For example, I am NOT
in favor of blanket lists of items and prices. The reason? If
one company does it, then others will do it because they feel they
need to do it to keep even. Then a large list will become
too large. On the other hand, special sales announcements of
categories; maybe even a special sale to SOLers; and including
a price in a posting about a problem with a parts solution--those
sorts of posts would be OK with me.

Most of us do already get the regular announcements of sales
from TRF and others. I really appreciate those TRF sales
announcements, even I have bitten for the special sale flyers they
throw in with a package. (It is a little insidious--I figure if
I buy this item, then I will get another flyer with, perhaps,
an even more desirable item for sale on it.) I also like to
peruse those flyers at night as I am drifting off to LBC dreamland,
and I can't do that with my computer.

But I REALLY would like to see TRF, and others, be on the net to
offer there technical advice. In fact, it might be a two-way
win-win situation. TRF might benefit from the questions, and INFO,
that SOLers post.

BTW, I have probably spent about $600 this last year with TRF; always
got very good service and exchange policies, so I am biased. I am
a TRF supporter--financially and verbally.

Nick

PS-The talk about folks with Healeys really makes me drool. I can
tell I won't be happy until I have one.
