The twincam may have been the only *factory* experiment with cross flow
heads on the type B engine, I don't know, but at least one other
manufacturer produced one -- HRG Derrington, Ltd. I have one on my '62
MGA. I found the head in a salvage yard by following up on a tip from
a friend. Derrington used to make other performance parts for the type
B engine. At one time they had an inlet manifold for twin Weber 45
DCOEs that was suitable for their cross flow head. By the time I
contacted them, they said that their man that made them had retired and
they no longer had any in stock. I did get a light alloy flywheel, a
tuned exhaust manifold and a set of close ratio transmission gears from
them however.
