It's really scary to me that my Dad knows more about MTV than I do.

Uh, That's how it started out. Now it's more into reality shows where a
group of 10 or so young folks share a household for, say, three months.
Then an interviewer questions why did you guys dislike so and so so much?
Rare is the day actual Music is played on MTV.
I only recall Kurt Loder, as well.
PS: I'm too young to remember the Lucky Strike Hit Parade.
