Want to spend the day at Laguna Seca?

This coming weekend is the U.S. Sports Car Invitational at Mazda Raceway at
Laguna Seca (October 4 through October 6). Come spend half a day volunteering
in Timing and Scoring and have the other half of the day to roam the paddock
and race track viewing the Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) and Grand Touring
(GT) cars of the 1980's and early 1990's, including Porsches, Nissans,
Jaguars, BMWs, Mazdas, and Toyotas. There will also be historic Porsches from
Klub Porsche and the World Super Kart Challenge.
Volunteers can bring a guest along and camp for free at the race track, so you
can spend the rest of the weekend in Monterey or Santa Cruz.

All volunteers and their guests must register at SCCA Registration to receive
passes to enter Laguna Seca. Registration will be at the Embassy Suites Hotel
in Seaside at the following times: Friday, Saturday & Sunday - October 4, 5 &
6 from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

We also have a couple of positions open in tech - mostly to help the Tech
Chief weigh cars (no experience needed).

To volunteer, e-mail me at scca@thunderhill.com or call the Region Office
(530) 934-4455 x 104. More info on the U.S. Sports Car Invitational can be
found at: www.laguna-seca.com/00ussci.htm
