I once bought a car that had been repainted. It was a 1985 Chevy Sprint.

The car (and I use the term "car" loosely; it was a beer can with four
wheels and a motor) came off the assembly line painted white. The PO
decided he wanted to make the car look more "sporty," so he had it painted
red. Trouble is, he went to an el cheapo body shop to have the car
repainted. The engine compartment, door jambs, and all the metal surfaces
in the interior were still the original shade of white.

On top of that, the coat of red paint looked like it had been applied with a
roller, and it was very thin and susceptible to chipping.

I humbly suggest either learning to like teal (difficult, I know) or finding
another car in a color you like and dumping this one.
