I did.  in 1998 at least you had a choice of two transfer cases:

1.  2WD/4-PT-HIGH/4-LOW
2.  2WD/4-PT-HIGH/4-FT-HIGH/4-LOW

mine has #2, which according to the sticker, cost an extra $395 or so.  I
dont know if later years offered an AWD option, but not in 1998.
