Actually this is wrong. The real story is that a local NW tire store
chain, Les Schwab tires (275 locations), has exclusive rights to Falken
tires in WA-OR-ID so online and other retail tire locations in the NW
are not allowed to sell them.

You're correct regarding the not-so-great Northwest Alan. However, there is
indeed some policy along those lines that prevents the Tirerack and Falken
from joining forces. A move which would certainly benefit both parties
involved.
Do you really think that the Tirerack is voluntarily losing out on all these
STS Falken tire sales because they don't want to carry them? Hardy.
