It's all a matter of perspective. In your mind, this
class has been "ravaged", but in my mind the class is
now a thriving burgeon. Much like the Z06 being the
"overdog" is SS: one could argue that SS has been
destroyed by the Z06 while other could just as easily
argue that the class is now one of the most exciting
(which it is) to watch and/or participate.

how is this when the same car wins all the time, then we

have spec classes, which are good for the marque clubs,

but we are not a marque club, but some people prefer to

have spec classing I for one don't.

the zo6 has done what you said it would, the 2000 SS results

 show 3 vettes (2 of them c-4) , 6 rx-7 and 1 boxster S. this

class was going to grow as it was until the z-o6.

Interesting. This package transforms a regular C5
 into a Ferrari-beating Z06.

yep but we still can't let a Ferrari run it has the potential

to dominate says the seb, so a big no no, but OK for other

Marques to have a dominating car. For spec classing.

so why do we not put them

So you beat Andy by 0.1 when ambient and course
temps were considerably cooler, having run very early
in the morning with gusty winds. I'd say if you ran in
the same run group as AS you might have had a slightly
 faster time.

yes i might have had. but over a two day event who can guess

I'm curious to know what kind of set-up the Boxster
S had when you finished 2nd in SS. Was it stock? If
so, is it a possibility you might have gone even
faster and possibly even won SS? Gary's car had
 considerable set-up I might add.

       my .02

My set up has been tested on dynos and test days.

the muffler was not changed for HP as all the units we

tested came up less HP. the shocks were slower, the

18" Hoosiers were faster. alignment maxed. tuned the

most crucial element the driver. yes, Thomason had

Done more in the way of changes but the car needed it.

The boxster is the most forgiving car I have ever drove.

Porsche did all the testing, and left very little that needed

to be changed for an improvement.
