I've run the RE71 and the AVS, both on my old SC2.  I'd go with the AVS.
A lot of people like the RE71, but I found the sidewalls to be too soft
for the front of a FWD car.  My experience with them in the front was
that the grip was GREAT with pressures around 32-35, but rollover was
far from acceptable.  And when you increase the pressure to try to tame
the rollover, grip goes away.  This was 205/50-15's on stock 15x6
wheels.

Get the AVSi, you won't regret it. (unless you're expecting long
treadlife...)
