Won't fit, Carroll Shelby tried it initially for the Cobra and it was too wide
(it was a Buick engine back then) and it would be too wide for an Alpine. The
Ford engine is surprisingly narrow for a V-8.

I've always wondered how one would go in an Alpine. They put them in MGB's.
