In my opinion there is a much better alternative to all this stuff. 
Herman Van Den Akker is now producing a Hydraulic Throwout Bearing 
for Triumph transmissions.  An offshoot of his HDVA 5 speed 
conversion.
This eliminates ALL of the mechanical parts, and works much better 
than the original set up.
He uses a McLeod bearing  ... these folks supply to many racers ... 
drag, NASCAR, etc. so a continual  supply of  parts should not be a 
problem, if you google  mcleod bearing you will find the Summit site 
that carries them if you need more info.  I have had one in Casper 
for three years and it works Great!   Not sure of the cost  ... just 
contact Herman ...
