I want to thank Pete Macholdt, and Bob Lang for suggesting replacing the
manifold stud with a socket screw.
This was the 4th tear down , but after replacing the 3rd stud from the front
with a 1 1/2" socket screw and with a little bang with a hammer on the 3rd
tube; I was able to close the offending gap.
It wasn't a total waste, someone had a shinier intake manifold at the SE VTR ,
so it gave me a chance to give it another polish. lol
Now waiting for the next project to materialize
