        Dick:

        I don't know this for a fact, but David Vizard claims in his book
on Tuning B(?)-series engines, that the stock cam gear is "adjustable".
        He says that by turning the gear over, and by moving the gear in
one tooth increments, that the stock gear will provide adjustments of 2.5
degrees (As I recall). While this is not great resolution, it means that
depending on which way the gear is installed, you can get within 1.25
degrees
of the ideal for your cam. That is not perfect, but pretty good.

<snip>

Degree wheels are nice to have, but since
our stock gears have no adjustments to speak of, the new cam should be
fine, so long as you don't miss the timing by a tooth.
