Make real sure you clean the system before you go with the Silicone. You need to flush the whole system very well to make sure you don't leave any of the regular stuff in it. I drained mine complete

DOT 5.1 is *NOT* silicone, it is *NOT* DOT 5. It's extremely poor wording choice on the part of DOT. It would have been better numbered DOT6. It's the next generation of the glycol based fluids. DOT
