A TD with stock 5.125 rear axle ratio requires about 4150 RPM for 60 MPH. However, most modern tires are smaller than originally supplied. So something faster than 4150 RPM may be needed for 60 MPH.

Thanks for the hint. Also your probably right about the oil separting from the grease. I used to see that a lot in cans of grease many years ago. The oil would "float" to the top after a few years.
