I was entered in the "easy" class way in the back, TR7's.
All of these cars were drivers. In my eye I thought my car looked
best but expected to lose points on engine modifications. No 1st
place was awarded. The second and third place cars were the most
original if not cleanest, and this was apparently weighted heavily
by the judges.
I did not think the price outrageous for a multi day
national event, but definately too much to bring my spitfire. I always
enter both cars in the show in New Orleans as the price is low for a
second car and there just may be something about the spit someone may
want to see.
At a recent Regional Thunderbird show in New Orleans we
experimented with a 100 point system for "drivers" along side the
300 point regular concours. It was very well received. A week after
the show, all entries received their judging sheet in the mail. This
was greatly appreciated by most entries. I would love to see my
sheet from Ft.Worth. At the 1996 regional in Tallahassee I received
enough points for 2nd place, at 1997 VTR I apparently did not make
250 points for a certificate with an improved car.

Even thou I did not win anything I still had a great time.
