Point understood. However, my main draw to F1 is not the ridiculous fanfare or
the elitist personalities involved, or even the technological wonders they call
racecars. My main interest is in the absolutely marvelous race circuits that
they frequent. Especially in Europe. Technical to the extreme - even though some
of the classic circuits have changed over the years for safety reasons. I can
see where a variety of channels carrying 'in-cars' would be great.
I could watch taxis going around those tracks, though - just let me see the
tracks. As for the rest of F1? Call me out of touch, out of date, living in the
past, whatever... but since the days of Hulme, McLaren, Scheckter and Fittipaldi
that sport has... has........ changed somehow : - (
Thanks for the reply/info. Gotta car in need of TLC and not much time to do it.

One hesitates to be pedantic...

My dear chap, those of us unfortunate enough to have direct access to F1 on
tv can readily testify that we have been waiting for years to see a "race"
per se with all that overtaking stuff etc. etc. ;-)
...Having said that, anybody who can get the digital tv access which is now
available on Italian satellite amongst others will find it interesting. At
least this way when the race gets boring you can choose from literally
dozens of channels showing in car footage, pitlane action, and so forth.
Nose cam is really something, especially when they're running in traffic!

Patrick
