I got this game for Christmas. It's an absolute blast! I already had a
steering wheel and pedals from earlier stuff, but am thinking about
upgrading. I also ended up replacing the PC so I could run it acceptably. (I
had a Pentium 120 Mhz) I'm now looking at super video cards. Note that it
natively supports only a couple of 3d cards - I think they are the Voodoo 2,
Voodoo 3, and one other I can't remember at the moment. (It's in the game
documentation) Just watching the demo laps included with the game gives me
goose bumps. Some of the cars (the Ferrari in particular) sound Wonderful - I
drive it just to hear the shifts.
The car setup is also amazing. You get to set the usual suspension and tire
pressures, but they go to the detail of allowing you to adjust the limited
slip for both on-throttle and off-throttle.
I have even greater respect for the drivers who actually drove those cars back
then - they are quite a handful!
