I use a 1975 Olds Delta 88 convertibile as a tow vehicle at selected events. With its 455 CID "Rocket V-8" it will pull a 22 foot custom Wells Cargo trailer, 2 Loti and all the spares you need for Loti. The car weighs 6500 pounds (with truck driveline) and will handle the 6000 pound trailer (GTW). When you get to the track there is space for 19 of your closest friends to cruise the paddock (ask the cops at the Sebring 12 Hours). The only problem is the 4 MPG fuel consumption @ 80 MPH and the limited range at that speed because the gas tank only holds 26 gallons. |
