I read these and had to laugh. I've had the opposite problem.
When my two children were younger, they dutifully reported EVERY convertible
they spotted as a Triumph! Anything with a convertible top, automatically
a Triumph. At an early age they could identify the different models.
The best one was at a do-it-yourself carwash. My daughter was about 5, and
we were washing the family mini-van. A guy pulled up next to us in a nice
Damson TR6. She walked over to the guy, looked at the car and said, "Nice
TR6", and walked away. He looked quite surprised, that she could identify
it.
