I sold these 20 or so years ago for Tigers, and had no complaints. I belie=
ve the "Drake" caps are reproductions of this cap. They are now obsolete, b=
ut a few Ford dealers have some in stock, see link.
Ford #C9ZZ-8100-A or Motorcraft # RS-512A. Application was a dress cap for =
1969 Mustangs.

Just to add to my confusion I took a look at the Tiger Parts List Supplemen=
t (pub number 6601131) and I'm guessing this only covers the Tigers up to=
=C2=A0 B382001521 because it only shows the 1224725 header tank and Ron has=
=C2=A0 Parts List 6601334 which show two more tanks.=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=
=A0Parts List=C2=A0 6601131=C2=A0 says the 9 lb. cap is for "later" cars an=
d the 13 lb. cap is for "earlier" cars.=C2=A0 This seems to contradict what=
is in TBON.=C2=A0 Is it possible that some of the earliest cars had 13 lb.=
caps and then they went to 9 lb. caps until they changes the header tanks?
=C2=A0
The Rootes part number for the 9 lb. cap is 5220487 and when I Google that =
number I can see that is also a Mopar part number from back in the day.=C2=
=A0 All of the usual sources want to cross this over to a 13 lb. cap.=C2=A0=
I did find a 9 lb. cap made by Motorad but I can't find what the stem leng=
th is.=C2=A0 I guess I will have to go down to the different part stores an=
d look at what they have.=C2=A0=C2=A0
=C2=A0
Sunbeam Specialties has three different caps for sale but they are for Alpi=
nes, not Tigers.=C2=A0 I asked Rick if any of them would work for the Tiger=
and he said the pressure rating was too low.=C2=A0=C2=A0
=C2=A0
Ron, the G630 cap pulls up as a match for some older Land Rovers but I'm on=
ly finding used ones.
=C2=A0
If anybody has recently purchased a new cap that is working fine please let=
me know what you got.

I'm hoping one of you guys can tell me what radiator cap I should be using.=
=C2=A0 I've tried a cap that was listed as being for a Tiger on Autozone's =

=A0 I almost immediately start getting water out of the overflow tube as th=

=C2=A0
A brand name and part number would be great=C2=A0 And also, what should the=
