I've had a Prius for a year and a half now.  I love it and revel in the 
mileage.  I recently did a 200 mile freeway loop and got 56 mpg.  In my 
hippy-dippy neighborhood (Los Feliz, just East of Hollywood) there are lots of 
them.  I still love my Tiger, but for everyday transportation you can't beat a 
hybrid.  Putting on the flame suit now, but we'd be a lot better off if 
everyone had at least one in the garage next to their exotic gas guzzler.
