For the last couple of years all the racing I've done has been on foot... Does that count? I've been looking off and on for a Toyota Echo to use as a commuter vehicle. Not much sense in going back and forth in the Tundra all the time. I'd also consider either a Smart Fortwo (lots of them running around here) or just riding my bike, except that I have to ferry kids between school and home three times a week. It's good to see the smaller-lighter ethic regaining some traction. I'm sure that the SUV "performance" boom had (has?) Colin Chapman doing about 8000 RPM in his grave. Are any other Tiger owners going green? I bought me a little Honda Insight and having as much fun with it (well actually more fun right now) than my Tigers and Corvette. I am getting up to 78MPG! Saving the planet and saving gas everyday for fun driving later... I have also heard that a southern cal Tiger autocross champion is now driving a Prius to work. Hot rod hybrids may be the next wave: http://www.gassavers.org/articles/auto-enthusiasts-ditch-horsepower-for-gas- mileage Gary |
