Interesting that Shelby's working on a hydrogen-compatible green engine
(which presumably will run on hydrocarbon based fuel as well :-) ).
Some time back there was an article quoting Pete Brock, of Daytona
Cobra fame as advocating much much lighter cars with skinny tires that
would still have great performance as well as outstanding fuel economy.
Be interesting to put the two of them together again and see what they
came up with. Of course, an ultralight Brock-designed car with skinny
tires would mean Shelby would only need a 4-cylinder hydrogen powered
engine, rather than a heavy, large, enormously powerful V-8 to achieve
the same results.....
