Jeff According to 'Rebuilding the Small Block Ford' and other books, for changed the casting molds for the 289's. If you try boring a 260 much more the .030 over the adds are very great, you will break through the water jacket. If you are successfull if boring, the odds are that the car will overheat easily. The list is correct. Get a 302 or last 289. Find a matching 6 bolt bellhousing and clutch slave cylinder. Many on the list have down this successfully. Dave |
