I have a Mk2 Spit which I am restoring. My friend races Triumphs and has
instructed me to do the following to my non rotoflex rear transverse spring
to
make the car perform better on the bends:
Remove leaf 3
Turn leaf 4 over so it is working against the others
Has anyone heard of this before?

Yes, I have. I don't know just how effective it is, but I suppose it
effectively "dearches" the spring if nothing else.

*Mrs Irrelevant: Oh, is it a jet?
*Man: Well, no ... It's not so much of a jet, it's more your, er,
Triumph Herald engine with wings.
