Speaking of Triumphs on TV - my son was watching a
fairly foolish movie on one of the broadcast
networks this past weekend called "Atomic Train",
in which a train carrying an atomic bomb derails
outside of Denver and detonates.

During the blast, the electromagnet pulse
destroys all the computers in the modern cars,
and one of the characters cries "we need to find
an older car without computers" in order to flee
the scene.

Well, in the finest tradition of Hollywood,
what should happen that very moment but a car
drives up. The car? A white TR-7 that had
survived the blast intact - the convertable
top was even in one piece! But, alas, the
fabric of the top had not shielded the driver
from radiation, so he conveniently died just
in time for the two characters to take the
Triumph and drive to safety.

Did anyone else see this?
