Back to the TR problem. As I recall this is an engine with only 700 miles.
If this problem did not exist before the engine rebuild then in stands to
reason there is another issue.
My Jensen Healey has about the same number of miles on the rebuild and is
running a bit hotter than normal and before the rebuild. But it is not over
heating and when it gets to it's now normal temperature it stays there...no
matter the weather.
Question for me is, does higher compression 8.9 to 10.5 have an effect on
temperature?
I am going to get a bottle of this stuff and see what happens.
Royal Purple makes a product called Purple Ice Super Coolant that they claim
is better. Who knows? But they also claim it can be used in straight water
racing applications or in antifreeze / water mixtures. A bit more
expensive.
