Water Wetter increases the cooling efficiency of the system. If the
thermostat is full open at 165 or 180, it will stay open as long as the temp
does not drop below that. I suggested using Water Wetter as Dean was having
cooling issues. The Water Wetter will help the system do a better job of
eliminating the excess heat, brining it down to a normal operating temp. At
normal operating temp, the thermostat should be open fully. If the cooling
system was maintain a normal operating temp, Water Wetter would not be
necessary and could reduce the system temp below normal operating temp. If
you go to the Redline site or do a search on Water Wetter, you can find
detail beyond what I can provide on how it works.
