The pug that I knocked out has '45 mm' stamped on the back and was a perfect
fit. I seem to recall that it came from a Volvo dealer. The 1 7/8 plug would
be
too large and the 44.5 mm plug doesn't expand enough to fill the gap. I don't
mind using a sealant for 'belt and suspenders', but I don't want to trust it to
hold the plug in place.
