Hi Bob, IMHO idle oil pressure is not really important.  As long as there
is some pressure the bearings will be adequately lubricated for the minimal
load to which they are subjected.
Of more concern is the pressure under load. I've always used the 10 p.s.i./
1000 RPM rule and it has never let me down.
