Has anyone compared the price of having a complete custom rear axle assembly
built compared to the price of the OEM Datsun center section including new
R&P and the factory LSD setup?
Seems to me that you should be able to get Moser or someone similar to build
one to the correct width, even set it up for rear disc brakes, for the (at
least) mid teens cost of an H-190 LSD center section after it's been set up
properly. And keep in mind it would be new and based on probably much
cheaper, not to mention more readily available parts like the Ford, GM or
Dana assemblies.
Someone's bound to have looked into this at some time in the not too distant
past? How about it?
