Why would a fuel pump run constantly unless its electric? If the engine dies
on a mechanical fp, so does the fuel pump.. Electric fuel pumps sometimes
need pressure regulators. Sounds more like a bad gas problem or clog in the
fuel system/filter. Very common on roadsters with the old gas tanks, it
shows up after not having run for a while(several months). Also check for a
stuck needle jet in the carbs.
