Good points, Gary. I was wondering about both the Omaha and KC areas. I
think a road course would be a big plus to allow a street school/track
day event similar to what was run last July at Thunderhill. Are there any
road courses near either area?

Another reason I suggested the Springs/Denver areas was their having
cool(er) weather throughout the summer. I'm not sure about further north,
but from down here up through Tulsa the summer heat can be brutal. It was
nice to be at Shasta last July. When it was 100 plus in D/FW it was
mid-80's there. While many of the folks were complaining about the heat,
we thought about wearing long sleeve shirts just to yank their chains a
little. <G> It was actually a little cool at night which would make
camping a more comfortable alternative to hotels/motels.

Whatever concensus develops, I'd strongly suggest Summer 2000 at the
earliest. It's going to take a lot of planning and organization to put
something of this scale together, IMHO, particularly if it's to appeal to
and draw Datsun/Nissan owners (and vendors?) nationwide.

FWIW, Ron
