Many agree with you, to the extent that I have heard the Miata referred to
as a "Chick Car," a la the VW cabriolet. :-)
Should any feel this is a sexist comment as to women drivers, I hasten to go
public with my congratulations to the TWO women who have just qualified for
the Indy 500, one a 19 year-old rookie, along with the marvelous Lyn St.
James.
The difference between a "roadster" and a "convertible" (or "drophead," if
you will) is often not recognized, surprisingly enough even on this list.
