I never got into the programming side, but my first computer was a 
Timex-Sinclair Z-80 or ZX-80 -- whatever they called it!  From there, I 
went to a Radio Shack Trash-80 "Laptop."  Next up was a 286 - then a 586 
- and now a 1.2 Ghz Athlon.  Next upgrade will probably be a fast P4.
