Yeah...as an aside, I was not talking about your idea. :-)

I see your point. I suggest that there is no dilution, in that the guy
with the 1st place does not feel lessened by your 8th place, IMO. And
the guy in 7th place still is happy he beat you. :-)
The thing I see is that different people want different things from
this. To many people, that last 14th place trophy IS important and means
a lot to them. And why should you be penalized for being in a large
class? I look at is this way, being 14th in CS this year means you beat
about 40 other drivers. But someone in a smaller class may have beaten 5
drivers and trophied? That is how I see the present system as more fair
in regards to class size.
